Father's Day at the Beach

We took a trip out to Stinson Beach last weekend for Father's Day. Bridget has been on the sand at Lake Tahoe, but this was her first time being in the ocean.

She loved feeling the sand. And luckily she only tried to eat it once.

It was very busy that day so she stuck pretty close to daddy.

She was a little hesitant around the water after getting splashed up to her knees. She liked it much better when mommy held her and we ran through the surf together.

Pigtails and Personal Style

Bridget finally has enough hair that we can start experimenting with cute styles. This weekend I was able to get two scrawny little pigtails in place on her head and she actually left them in for more than 10 seconds. Each morning I have been setting aside some time to put her hair up - I am hoping the more I do it the more she'll get used to it and keep them in her hair.

It is hard to get a real part down the back of her scalp, so most mornings the pigtails end up a little uneven.

I wish this photo was in better focus. It completely defines her personality.

We've learned to distract her while styling her hair - half the time she forgets and therefore keeps them in for a while. This time she didn't forget.

We took this picture yesterday morning. We hit the trifecta - pigtails, shades, AND hands in pockets. She is so stylish.

Happy Father's Day

Happy Dad's day Nathan! Bridget is so lucky to have such an amazing father.

And we can't forget her Grandpa and Papa!

Polly Pocket

Bridget has discovered she has pockets. And she knows how to use them.

She can even rock a good pocket pose when she's tired and her hair looks like a bird's nest.

The Big Move

Just because we've been absent on the blog lately does not mean we haven't been busy! We spent last weekend moving and most of this week attempting to unpack and get settled. We had been in a small "one bedroom plus den" apartment for the last two years and now we are the proud residents of a larger two bedroom, two story townhome. The move was a lot of work but Bridget was up for the challenge and eager to help out. Here are a few pictures from the move. I will do a follow up post with more pictures of the place once we are more settled in.

Lucky for us we only moved across the parking lot. It meant a lot of small trips, and Bridget wanted to help with all of them!

She hasn't been around stairs much so she has had a lot of catching up to do. Up, down, that is all she wants to do each day.

Once we had a good chunk of stuff moved over, Bridget settled in and helped unpack and organize her bookcase (apparently after a pants change!).
