Bumble Bee and Elephant

Happy Halloween! This year Bridget decided she wanted to be a Bumble Bee. She has been contemplating her costume choice for almost a full year so let's just say we were happy she finally settled on something and stuck with it.

We knew we would have a repeat of the Halloween pumpkin party at Bridget's school, and also another round of trick-or-treating -- so we decided to get Evan a costume too. He was an Elephant.

Daddy did a very good job picking out Bridget's costume and getting her ready for the party while Mommy was out of town (luckily I came back into town the night of the party and was able to make it for the second half).

Bridget's pumpkin is the second from the left, with the "sideburns."

Bridget and another Bumble Bee!

For Halloween itself we decided to pack up and head to a more family-friendly neighborhood. And we sure found one! There were kids everywhere and lots of fun decorations and candy all around. Even Bridget noted that she only saw 21 other kids last year, but this year she saw 811! (These are direct quoted numbers!).

Evan was quite a trooper as we went from house to house.

We are glad to have Halloween over with for another year. And we are starting to take bets on what Miss B will want to dress up as next year!

That is the sweetest bumblebee and elephant I have ever seen. And I have seen a few . . . we had 175 tick-or-treaters here last night! Thanks for the great photos.

Just love the kids' costumes and I'm sure that Bridget was showing off her bumblebee manicure as well! We only had about 20 trick or treaters this year (most of the kids in the neighborhood have grown up) and it was quite cold out our way. So glad the kids had a good time. Now the fun begins...Mommy and Daddy having to monitor and parcel out the candy (ha!).
Love,
